I was very fortunate to be able to work with Senita as my product owner at IMO Health during a period in which we transitioned our traditional NLP approach into AI. We faced the demanding task of mapping a huge variety of medical free text from various sources into the standard medical coding systems such as RxNorm and ICD-10. Senita managed the competing interests of different teams and stakeholders with aplomb, freeing me to work as productively as possible on the AI research side with a long-term focus. As a manager, Senita was unflappable while handling a huge workload. She often worked under pressure in chaotic conditions, but this never prevented her from moving our work forward in her typical calm, collected way. Senita is a natural at tracking technical complexity and understanding product requirements. With her strong background in all aspects of clinical AI, she was able to clearly perceive and find solutions for the potential pitfalls that might derail a project. As we transitioned into the AI space, Senita mastered the requirements of many emerging LLM methods, such as LLM agents, retrieval augmented generation, and vector databases.
